Suspect arrested for murder after running over, kissing and stabbing 64-year-old man

A suspect has been arrested on murder charges in connection with the brutal slaying of a 64-year-old man in southeast Houston last week.

According to Houston police, authorities believe 20-year-old Karon Fisher is responsible for the murder.

Security footage from a neighbor near the crime scene captured the events as they unfolded.

Steven Anderson is walking along Woodridge Square Drive to pick up his mail when a white Dodge Charger speeds toward him. He notices it in time and makes a quick backward movement, but the vehicle accelerates and spins towards him before hitting him. After running him over, the vehicle reverses over him a second time.

A short time later, as neighbors apparently called emergency services, a person – presumably Fisher – is seen turning Anderson over, straddling him and kissing him as he lies lifeless on the ground. The suspect then attacks him several times with a knife.

Officers found Anderson unresponsive and suffering from multiple stab wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fisher — who is identified as male in DPS records but is referred to by “she/her” pronouns in the police report — was quickly located and interviewed by investigators. She was subsequently charged with murder and taken to the Harris County Jail, where she is being held on a $2 million bond.
